Celebrating Excellence: Mike Brand Awarded Paul Harris Sapphire Pin for Rotary Contributions

In a momentous occasion for the Rotary Club of Wexford, Mike Brand has been bestowed with the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship Award. The recognition, presented by District Governor of Rotary, Kenny Fisher, signifies Mike’s outstanding contributions to the Rotary community.

Named after the visionary founder of Rotary, Paul Harris, the award is considered the highest honor for Rotarians who have demonstrated unparalleled commitment and service. Mike’s dedication to the principles of Rotary has not only earned him this distinguished fellowship once, back in 2006, but he has now received the coveted sapphire pin, one of the highest versions of the Paul Harris award.

Expressing his gratitude, Mike Brand shared, “It was a great honor to be named a Paul Harris Fellow by District. Rotary has been an important part of my life for over 40 years starting in Rotary club of Lisburn in 1982 and now with Wexford’.

This sentiment echoes the profound impact that Rotary has had on individuals like Mike, who have dedicated a significant part of their lives to the organization’s mission.

Assistant Governor Calodagh McCumiskey commended Mike Brand’s contributions. “On behalf of Zone 4, Rotary Ireland, I would like to thank Mike for his exceptional dedication to the work and mission of Rotary. Mike’s dedication and service are an inspiration to me and so many others around the world. He is a worthy recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship award,”

Natasha Hughes, President of the Rotary Club of Wexford, lauded Mike’s remarkable efforts in both the club and the broader community. “Mike has made a tremendous contribution to the work of our club and in service of the community. His work with Just One Life , Interact Loreto and mentorship within the club is outstanding. Today, we honor and thank him for his unwavering commitment,” she expressed.
