Welcome Friends and Fellow Rotarians
Dara O’Leary – President of The Rotary Club of Wexford
As we begin the Rotary year of 2026/27, I am inspired by the honour of becoming President of The Rotary Club of Wexford. I start by recognising the continued club growth in numbers and success under previous Presidents and congratulate my predecessor, Eric McLintock, on a terrific Presidency.
Dara O’Leary of Sunshyne Coaching, who succeeds Eric McLintock as President of the Wexford branch for 2026/2027, says she is “really looking forward” to the year ahead and hoping to create a lasting impact. “It’s a great club with great members. There’s a lot of skill and talent within the club and it’s great to be able to make use of that in supporting the community. The wealth of knowledge within the club overall is just amazing. There are a lot of people with a huge amount of experience and it’s about using those talents and skills in the best possible way for the benefit of the community.”
My theme for this year is, as always, “Service Above Self” and “Creating a Lasting Impact”
My objectives for this 2026/2027 Presidency are simple :
- Build on the excellent work already being done
- Lunch meetings – speakers and visitors are welcome
- Encourage new ideas
- Strengthen our fellowship and welcome new members
- Continue delivering meaningful projects that have a lasting impact in our community
We are always looking for new members and to grow our club, new members both individual and corporate are welcome.
I will leave you with this final thought and Rotary quote :
“We work to create lasting change that will endure long after our involvement has ended.”

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Wexford
Since we started in 1978, Rotary Club of Wexford has made a difference in our community, and beyond, through supporting many worthy projects. Today, our club membership represents a cross section of like-minded leaders and professionals in our community who practice the rotary principle of Service above Self in everything that we think, say and do.
We welcome new members whose sense of responsibility inspires them to give back to their community by using their expertise to participate and engage in our efforts to make a difference, and form lifelong friendships in the process. Together, we will empower youth, improve health, promote peace, and advance our communities in all corners of the globe.
Visiting Rotarians and guests are very welcome.
The Rotary Club of Wexford meets every second Monday at 1:00pm at Newtown Park Hotel, Ballindinas, Barntown, Wexford, Y35 E8KT, Ireland.
