Youth development and opportunities

 

Wexford Rotary club places great emphasis on youth development.

 

One of our projects has been an involvement in the Vocational educational School in Westgate.   We have for many years been involved in a mentoring programme.   Teams of 2 people visit the school on a regular basis to talk to students.  The mentors focus on encouraging students to enjoy school, raising their self esteem and building awareness of goal setting and achievements.  We have also assisted the school for their library and through our Youth Leadership competition.
